Can we learn resilience though challenging ourselves physically and mentally?
Lowri Morgan is an athlete, adventurer, speaker and presenter. After an injury while playing Rugby, she was told that she would never be able to run properly again. However, Lowri has competed in and won some of the most extreme races in the world.
Lowri is one of the few endurance athletes in the world to complete in the famous 350 miles non-stop 6633 Ultra Arctic footrace. Other achievements include competing in the Jungle Ultra Marathon in the Amazon Forest, the Three Peaks Yacht Race (she made history by being part of the first all-female team to win the race), Dragons Back Race and also in 2016, Lowri became the first person to run from North to South Wales via the country’s highest Peaks and mountains in 60 hours.
Lowri is an adventurer known for her skydiving, mountain skiing and dangerous waters scuba-diving and is one of a small number of people who have dived to view the Titanic wreck.
She has been awarded the National Adventurer of the Year, Honorary Fellowship at Swansea University and was an Ambassador for the 2016 Welsh Government’s Year of Adventure Campaign along with Bear Grylls.
Working in TV, Lowri has worked on a number of productions and is a Bafta and multi-award winning presenter.
She is also the author of the book ‘Beyond Limits’ which is the story of how she has come to do these extraordinary achievements.
